The company of women

I'm putiing this in my blog with a little fear in my mind coz this is a controversial book based on human relations. It is summary of the book by Khushwant singh," the company of women". the psyche behind writing this book is worth praise.
The company of women - (Khushwant Singh) Old-aged and middle-aged patronize it for its ability to rouse cherished reminiscences. Puerile and adolescents fantasize, as well as acquaint themselves with the truth of adulthood’s amazing journey and the shift of sexual instincts from a person’s middle, to his head, as he grows older, and finally dies. Khushwant Singh believes that the most important thing in an individual’s life is SEX. One should get unconditional sexual pleasures throughout one’s adulthood till he gradually loses libido due to old age. In old age one starts pondering over his/her past encounters (marital & extra-marital). He believes that if the sexual tension between a couple dies out and no chemistry between them prevails any longer, they should understand each other’s need to look for new partners and bring their relation to an end with a good will. This becomes necessary because if the main binding force of man-woman relationship dies out, i.e. sex, all kinds of ugly problems spring up (e.g. nagging, bickering, quarrels, they start forfeiting to adultery, etc.) which leads to a sour divorce instead of a healthy separation. Khushwant Singh speaks in his work of one of his friend, Mohan Kumar, who completed his graduation from Princeton, America, return to India after bedding uncountable number of girls there. Of all his relationships with girls, the ones he remembered were few. The first was with an African-American, Jessica Browne, at the hands of whom he was deflowered; Yasmeen Wanchoo, a plump and full-bosomed Pakistani politician. Mo became popular among girls because of the size of his organ, “it is the biggest I have ever seen”!, would exclaim his admirers. Mo would retort “how many have u seen”? When he returned to India, he married Sonu, a millionaire’s daughter. He impregnated her on their honeymoon. Sonu was spoilt child of her wealthy parents. She had a habit of bickering, nagging and harassing Mo and his father, whom he would refer as “old man”. Old man, felt unwanted in their house and left for Haridwar to fulfill his spiritual quest where he eventually dies. Mohan Kumar resented all this but was not able to do much about his spiceless, sexless, flat life unless he asked for a divorce after 12 years. Mo was left forsaken with all his youthfulness, wealth, and peerless sexual prowess. He decided not to grow old like that and waste his prowess. He paid for an ad for a concubine partner in the newspapers. In the meantime he was served by his sweeper woman, Dhanno, who was dark but full bosomed and proficiently pleased him. The first reasonable reply to his audacious advertisement was from a professor, Sarojini Bharadwaj. She was diminutive, petite, bespectacled but reasonably beddable to Mo. Sarojini lived with him and everyone was told that she is a cousin who has been transferred to Delhi. This clandestine affair had to be cut short due to social prejudice. Hence they parted to never meet again. The second response to his advertisement was from Molly Gomes, a Christian masseuse in Goa. She was short, stocky, dark and cheerful. She gave Mo the best time and best sex ever in his life he could ever get. Since she was a professional masseuse, she knew the pressure points and all the tricks. Even though they liked each other a lot but the word LOVE never occurred between their conversations. She left after spending 2 months of quality time with Mo and never called back. Mo was again left alone when he found Susanthika Goonatilleke (Sue) at one of Delhi’s high class parties. Sue was a young, darkish, slightly built, unmarried, Sri Lankan second secretary in High Commission. Sue was interested to accompany Mo to his visit to Haridwar to watch the majestic Ganga worship at Har Ki Pauri. The saints would wave their huge lighted candelabras during sunset, in the honor of Mother Ganga. Then they float oil lamps which filled the entire stream, bobbing up and down. The sunset, movements of the candelabraas, clanging of the temple bells and quivering myriad of floating oil lamps is described to be the most resplendent scene in the world. Mo bedded Sue in Haridwar and this led to a two year long relation of sheer love-making between them. At the end of the second year, Sue was transferred to New York High Commission. Although Mohan Kumar was in his late forties, he started losing his potency and found he could no longer get his member to get upright. This made him feel very sad. He overcame this agony in Mumbai where he hired a prostitute and had sex with her. He was relieved to find out that he still retained his manly powers which fueled his desire to live. All this came to an unexpected end when he found out that he has contacted AIDS during his trip to Mumbai. He sank into deep sorrow. He incriminated his lecherous behavior for all the shame agony, and his life. But soon realized that it was because of his libido he was able to relish all the good times he had in his life, without which life will lose all its meaning. He felt gratified by all he had got from life in the form all the women he had bedded. He thanked god and left for his heavenly abode peacefully.

MANALI TRIP-UIET

Manali trip turned out to be the most adventurous trip ever for me, and before leaving I thought "yaar kitne kam log ja rahe hai, whom i know”. I guess it was more enjoyable because we never expected events to turn out as they did later (Expectation kills the thrill). Anyways, we left for Manali in our old PU bus with an old driver speeding us dangerously amidst the deep valleys and high mountains. On reaching we got fresh in our hotel rooms and bamm-we were trekking. Yeah we were trekking right away and nobody among us had ever imagined, that we were going to trek for whole day and the coming night, till 6:30 in the morning, nextday. We crossed 1 feet wide paths, plunging deeply to death (I swear, my mom would faint if I ever show her where we were holding onto on that day on the side of that mountain). Well we crossed them safely, trekked continuously for hours and ended up on the bank of river BEAS, just to find out that we cannot cross it without being swept away. We had to lumber along the Rocky River bank till we came across a habitation where they had made a wooden bridge. While still trekking, stupid nikhil & kshitij aggarwal found out somewhere that it was a moonless night and there is going to be a HIPPI party at an unknown place in the mountains, and only Foreigners and the Rikshaw wallas knew how to reach there. There tongue came out like thirsty foxes when they came to know that there would be dancing angrezi mems and free-flowing liquor. We pataofied a Rikshaw walla in whopping 300 bucks to lead us to the party. He led us to an isolated mountain and pointed to the top of that mountain. I, kshitij & nikhil and the Rikshaw walla were standing at around midnight at the foot of that mountain staring up to find out if there was some light or bass noises from the party. But there were none. We turned to the Rikshaw walla who then pointed to a path set by toilet papers left at few meters away from each other, leading to the party. Unwillingly we handed over the money to the Rikshaw walla and started marching up the damn cliff. Hum teen, amawas ki raat, aur torch ek!! Bahut nainsaafi hai. So we formed a human chain with the person in the front holding the torch. We trekked for around two hours non-stop (we were too afraid to stop, trekking kept our minds divulged from the ghosts and wild animal thoughts), when we saw two radium torches revolving the air though strings attached to them. That was the first sight of light in the last two hours apart from our own torch's. We were so happy to know that some human beings in addition to us were also there on that cliff. We reached the party spot, we were welcomed to the bonfire and a huge deck system blasting out noise everywhere. Some chicks were also dancing(not as many as we surmised-u remember the thing about expectation I said before). All three of us were amazed as to where was all that noise getting lost, since it was pin drop silence at the foot of the same cliff, some time before. This is the beauty of nature, we concluded. We rested our fatigue muscles for a little while listening to the music and feeling the chilled breeze, and we felt fresh as new. Nature’s beauty again. So at 5:30 after the sunrise we trekked down again. We took a lift from a truck to our hotel. We slept like fatigued horses in our hotel rooms and missed what our other mates did during that day. Then it was time to go back and some of us guys decided to leave early and do white water rafting in kullu. That was also a blast. At the end of the rafting we lit a bonfire on the banks of beas and danced like tribals around it all night, when the rest of our mates caught up with us later in the dusk. That was the most happening trek & tour of my life would be KULLU-MANALI
Where fun just happened on every step.

godfather

Just finished reading THE GOFATHER-1, written by Mario Puzo.
i have created a brief synopsis of 900 words.
CHECK IT OUT.

One of the most relished novels on earth, Mario puzo’s Godfather is an enthralling piece of work. Godfather is the story of Don vito Corleone, a Sicilian, who was forced to banish his homeland by a Sicilian Don, who feared that the boy one day might seek vengeance for his father’s murder. He was deported to America where he was adopted by an olive oil Sicilian importer. He grew up in the streets of New York where a number of Mafia operated in the illegal business of prostitution, shylocking, gambling. Till his marriage he remained a quite spectator but it was only when his own living was jeopardized by the illegal activities of the Mafioso, he killed one of the local Mafia. The people starting to respect him as a man of influence, who was continuously asked to act as intercessor for people’s affairs in return of some monetary rewards and other favors. As his influence began to grow, he was asked by local gambling houses to protect them from hoodlums and was put on there regular monthly payrolls.
He with the help of his redoubtable friends like Clemenza and Tessio became the local Mafioso chief and invested in the olive-oil business. He pursued the investors and wholesalers in various parts of America in the oil business with his peerless influence and personality. His excellent organization of workforce into caproregimes and his own formidable personality overturned almost all of the major Mafias in surrounding regions and took over there areas of operation. Either they were stamped out or they were incorporated into the realm of Don Corleone. Don Corleone after nourishing the business with his wisdom and far-sightedness now formed the most influential family of New York. His influence now extended to all the surrounding precincts, lawmakers, senators and other influential people of the country. He had a large number of people on his regular payroll including police personnel, button-men, and others who became his Law Enforcers.
The reason behind Don’s success was his intelligence and adroitness to handle situations. Being a true Sicilian he obeyed the Law of Omerta (silence). He never raised his voice, always maintained his composure, and never made naked threats to his enemies or rant in front of them. He believed that to underestimate the enemy is the biggest mistake and letting them underestimate you is your biggest blessing. The Don always kept analyzing the changes taking place around him and changed with them with all his power. He always felt indebted to anyone who did a service for him and when he gave service he told them that they may be ask for a service in return. This was the main business technique of the great Godfather. People called him ‘Godfather’ not out of fear but out of respect for he never disappointed anyone, he strongly believed in making friends even with his enemies.
Godfather had three sons, Sonnie, the eldest, Freddie and Michael (Mikey) and one daughter, Connie. Sonnie was a strong cupid-faced chap who was intelligent and also keen to become the successor to Don. But Don, due to Sonnie’s hot-tempered nature knew that he won’t be fit for the post. Freddie was not capable to become Don due to his cowardness. Youngest of them all, Michael Corleone was witful. He had proved his capabilities by joining Navy and going on war during World War-I. But Mikey had his own concept of life and disliked the outlaw activities of his father. He joined Navy against his father’s will and had also decided to separate from the family after his marriage with Kay Adams.
But when Don was shot and banished to hospital by one of the enemies named Solozzo, he decided to help his family in the hour of need and went all the way to kill Solozzo and his bodyguard, a police officer. He had to be deported to Sicily till the matter cooled down. Meanwhile, when the Don was recovering from his wounds, Sonnie took over the Don’s position and decided to retort to the family’s enemies strongly, by going to the mattresses. He made a lot of enemies by wiping out anyone who came in his way of his desperate attempt to gain back the family’s position. All this cost his own life at the hands of one of his most dreaded enemies, the Tattagalias.
Finally when Don recovered he knew that the blood feud has to be stopped to stop the large losses incurred in the fight. He finally made peace with his enemies and committed himself with all force to bring Mikey back by clearing all charges against him. All his efforts bore fruit and Mikey could be brought back home. The Don retired and handed the business to Michael. Michael decided to wound up all business in New York and shift to Nevada, to invest legitimately into the sprouting and lucrative business of Casinos in Las Vegas. When everything was being planned under the supervision of Don, for the first time Don disappointed Mikey. Don Vito Corleone died of a heart attack.
Michael Corleone didn’t give up. He had the brain of Don himself. He knew that he has to complete the unfinished business of wiping out all there enemies so that they don’t come after them once they give up the Mafia business. There enemies were caught unwary and the Vendetta finally got over.
